Building Strong Local Economies & Growing Small Businesses

Michigan already has programs that support entrepreneurship, downtown revitalization, and economic growth, but too often rural communities and small towns struggle to access the same opportunities and resources as larger cities.

I support:

• Supporting rural and locally owned small businesses

• Investing in vibrant downtowns and community gathering spaces

• Expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs and family businesses

• Reducing barriers that make it harder to start and grow a business

• Strengthening workforce development and skilled trades partnerships

• Expanding broadband and infrastructure investments that help communities compete

As a State Representative, I would work to strengthen and expand existing programs by:

• Increasing support for rural economic development

• Improving access to grants and technical assistance for smaller communities

• Expanding downtown revitalization and façade improvement programs

• Supporting locally owned businesses and community-based entrepreneurship

• Encouraging responsible growth that keeps communities strong while preserving local character

Strong communities are built from the ground up — by small businesses, local employers, entrepreneurs, and the people who invest back into the places they call home.
