Data Centers

I believe it's time to get money out of politics and put power back in the hands of the people. That's why I support a statewide moratorium on data centers, allowing residents to learn more, engage with elected officials, and help shape decisions about the future of their communities.

Michigan’s housing shortage is one of the biggest challenges facing our state, but there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Every community is different, and that’s why I believe we need practical, flexible policies that give local leaders the tools to address their own housing needs instead of single-solution mandates from Lansing.

So, let me ask: How many local data center meetings has Donald Trump or my opponent Lynn Afendoulis attended?

How many families have they listened to - some in tears as they fight to protect their farms, homes and the communities they chose to raise their families in?

Because calling people who want to protect their farmland and way of life “poor” and “backwards” is insulting and ill-informed.

Protecting Natural Resources & Rural Character

Preserve Michigan’s farmland, open spaces, lakes, rivers, wetlands, and clean drinking water by investing in farmland preservation and conservation easements, strengthening protections for wetlands and groundwater, and directing growth toward already-developed areas.

As your State Representative, I would work with healthcare providers, patients, businesses, and my colleagues in both parties to explore how Michigan can build a system that provides universal access while protecting quality and supporting local hospitals.

Support rural and local small businesses, strengthen Michigan’s downtowns, and give entrepreneurs the tools to create jobs and keep our communities thriving.

Building Strong Local Economies & Growing Small Businesses

I'll work to put more state resources behind Michigan’s Main Street businesses by requiring large corporations receiving state aid to invest in Michigan-based small businesses. We’ll expand access to financing, technical support, and growth opportunities while creating a one-stop Office of Small Business Growth to cut red tape, connect entrepreneurs with resources, and help small businesses create good-paying jobs.

Local Economies

As a township trustee, I take very seriously my duty to respect, listen to and work hard for EVERYONE in our community – regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or other differences.

Hate is not welcome here

I want to be honest with you about something that matters when we talk about agriculture policy: a State Representative cannot change federal policy. I cannot control federal cattle markets, federal trade policy, or every cost driving up feed, fuel, equipment, and the day-to-day expenses of running a farm.

As State Representative, Crowther — who runs her own business in Rockford and is a Courtland Twp. trustee — pledged to advocate for responsible growth that balances economic opportunity with environmental stewardship and local control.

Data Center Protectings

Since the start of my campaign I have supported a 12-month statewide moratorium and stricter regulations for hyper scale data centers and data mining. As I listen to the concerns of residents in our district, I’m convinced this is an essential step to ensure we fully understand the implications of data centers and put necessary safeguards in place.

Invest in reliable roads, clean and modern water systems, and high-speed internet especially in underserved rural communities so every part of Michigan has the infrastructure needed to thrive and compete.

As corporations move aggressively to develop datacenters across Michigan, West Michigan communities are facing decisions with lasting consequences for residents, natural resources, and local infrastructure.
